It’s that sluggish time of the year again.
I’ve been feeling so tired, fat and bloated… even if I’m far from being one.
I’ve stopped my workout routine and salad diet months ago but I’m still a size 1 and the last time I checked, my waist line was still hovering between 25 and 26 inches.
I am happy that I have been able to maintain my ideal size but I seem to be lacking energy lately.
I’ve also been feeling binge – eating tendencies. Sometimes I am tempted to eat more than one cup of rice and snack on chips ( which I give into once in awhile.)
I’m guessing it’s because I haven’t done a real workout in months.
I remember how good I felt when I did yoga before and how much control I had over my eating.
I was also more focused, relaxed and calm — natural side effects that came with practicing body bending poses.
I loved yoga because it was so simple. No complicated fitness equipment or fancy gym clothes. All you need is your body and an exercise mat.
I’ve searched for yoga studios online but the price around here is so steep.
So in the meantime, I looked for some yoga resources around the web.
Found this simple sun salutation exercise at Real Age and video on some yoga poses:
I’m still saving up for Bikram Yoga classes though.
I was a couple of months postpartum when I first tried it and I had some great results.
I’m thinking it would be much easier to get those flat abs this time since I would be doing yoga for toning and not for weight loss.
Who knows I may just e able to wear a two-piece number this summer.
Have you tried yoga?
