Working on a Sunday

June 27, 2010 in Blogging

Close-up of stack of coloured post-itsHow do you keep from being lonely when you’re home alone? Work. Work. And more work.

Yup, I’m working on a Sunday in a little corner of the bedroom that I made into my office. Somehow it makes the hours pass quickly and I don’t feel too sad that hubby is away.

I made a little list of all the things I need to accomplish for my small business project and I’m tackling them one by one. It’s all just writing, researching and conceptualizing at this point and I’m keeping it as stress free and as easy possible.

Best thing is, I can do all this while lying on the bed so it’s still a bit like bed rest. Work and bed rest don’t sound right together but you get the picture.

My coughs have subsided. I finally admitted I needed medicine and took Ascof Lagundi as recommended by my friend Lynda. I never take medicines ever, since I’ve always managed to heal myself naturally. But this time, I got scared when my throat started feeling “scraped” and there was a bit of blood in my phlegm. :(

Ascof seemed to work fast. I’ve only taken my first dose this morning and I’ve got three more to go. Tomorrow I should be good as new.

Part of me thinks I would have healed much, much sooner if hubby was here to give me large doses of hugs and kisses.

I guess a side effect of being lonely is you also get cheesy. ;)

When I’m done with work and I’m still up to it, I’ll do a little bit of light cleaning in my bag and closet. I have a tendency to accumulate receipts, coupons and all kinds of paper bits that I really don’t need, my bag gets heavy before I know it.

After that, I’ll do some journaling and reading. Not quite successful with my reading list for June yet but I’ve read some and about to finish one. That’s still an accomplishment.

By the time, the kids get home from their day out with their aunts, I’ll be one happy mommy.

Hope you’re having a great Sunday. :)
