I signed up for the first ever Wordcamp Philippines 2008.The event will gather Pinoy WordPress bloggers and developers in a whole day packed with WordPress love on September 6, 2008 at the College of St. Benilde.

Supported by Mindanao Bloggers, Wordcamp will have two different sessions for bloggers (Deployment) and developers (Development). Topics will include Blogging Basics, Building WordPress Themes, Building a Blogging Community, Video blogging and SEO. (Check out the schedule here.)

But the best part of it all, I’ll get to see and hopefully meet THE Matt Mullenwegg, THE founding developer of WordPress. (If you ever check out the lower part of your WordPress dashboard, you’ll see his posts linked there.) I’d sure love to hear his talk about the future of WordPress.
