Willpower over weather

A few days ago, I decided to do something I haven’t done in a long time: measure my waistline.

Since Kernan returned from Thailand, I’ve only been able to run with him a few times. Blame that on my extra work and the bad weather. He has been going to the gym though while I don’t have any exercise.

As a countermeasure, I’ve been “dieting” a little bit. I have lessened my rice intake and avoided eating chocolate. I usually have a fruit or yogurt for dessert now. I’ve been having sandwiches for lunch and drinking lots and lots of green tea.

I don’t feel quite as energized as before but at least I’m able to maintain my size somehow. I was pleased to see that the tape measure is still closing where it is supposed to be. I’m just three inches away from my goal waistline, on most days.

I think the green tea is doing it’s magic to clean my insides up and get rid of some of the fat. I remember clipping this article once about a woman who lost so much weight because she took some colon cleansers. I’ve been seeing those in health stores but I’m hesitant to try. I imagine I must need a lot of cleaning up with all the chips and chocolate I devoured before.

I know, I should get active again instead. Have to make my willpower stronger than this cozy weather. Okay, I’m going to start on Monday. But for now…. I am going to snuggle back to bed… ;)
