Warning: An extremely corny post. If you’re not into corny-ness, please stop reading now.
One day, I pretended to text hubby out of the blue.
“Mahal, ano nga uli height mo? (Mahal, what’s your height again?)”
“5′5. Why?”
“Ha? Eh pano ka nagkasya sa puso ko?” (Huh? How did you fit into my heart?)”
“Nye.”
The following weekend, he took me out on a date.

Right after our movie date, hubby and I passed by a timepiece boutique. I glanced at the silver and gold watches on display and casually told hubby:
“Mahal, ipagawa ko kaya yung relo ko… o mas okay kaya bumili na lang ako bago… (I think I should get my watch fixed… better yet, maybe I should get a new one instead…)”
“Ikaw bahala. Bakit? (Sure. It’s up to you. Why?)”
“Kasi kapag kasama kita, humihinto ang oras ko. (My time stands still whenever I’m with you.)”
This time, hubby gave me a kiss.
When you need a little corny in your life, try using pick up lines.
***
Back story:
These pick up lines were from a forwarded email sent by a friend. They’re 33 pick up lines in all and most of them are in Filipino. It has a certain ring to it in Filipino too.
A couple of us tried it on our boyfriends and hubbies: two got a laugh, one was gifted with her favorite cake, I was taken out on a date and given a kiss. (Hmm…what pick up line should I use next?)
These are some of my favorites:
Minamalat na naman ang puso ko… paano kasi, laging sinisigaw ang pangalan mo. (My heart is losing its voice again… it’s always calling out your name.)
(I will buy you a lifesaver because you’ll drown in my love.)
Excuse me, are you a dictionary? Because you give meaning to my life.
(You’re tired aren’t you? You’ve been running in my mind the whole day.)

Do you have any corny pick up lines to share?

Hehehe..corny indeed but I’ll try one. BTW, just want to say thanks for leading me to payu2blog. I’ve been getting a steady stream of opps from them. Thanks again, Jayme!

Hey Josiet! Have you tried the corny lines yet? About payu2blog, they’ve been very generous with opps. They’re actually my largest income earner for the past months. Though I’m still exploring other options. I’m trying Pepperjam Network now. Affiliate marketing naman. Try mo.
hehehe, ako corny rin — ang pinakamatindi e itong aming almost everyday exchanges when hubby say ‘love you’ i would always say ‘love you more’ — kakatinding ng balahibo sa kabaduyan pero it works for more shopping money oppps, hahaha

Awww…that is so sweet Ate Kengks.
Sabi nga nila, the more you love, the more baduy you become. Anyway, shopping money is always a good reward. Hehe…
ha ha ha
corny nga, but sabi mo they worked naman.
