Finding good child care is extremely stressful and time consuming-- been there, done that!! Have you tried an online sitter site? I know it can be nerve-wracking using a computer to find a sitter, but honestly, I've had great experience with it. I use Care.com for occasional sitters, and my sister found her (great!) nanny on the site. I think the overall quality of sitters is higher than average, and they do free background checks (great for peace of mind). I also check references and interview every prospective sitter in person as well, for safety's sake. I think they're still running a promotion-- you can get a discount for joining if you use the code CLUBMOM. Good luck!! :)
