“Hey kid!” Gap-toothed red-haired girl suddenly pops out of the window.
“Aaaahhh!!!” Bespectacled boy is startled and slams his arm cast to his face.
Girl hops in the bedroom, “Thought you might need some cheering up. I’ve got something to show you.”“I am about to show you something I have never showed to any human being…ever…in my life! You have to swear you will not tell anyone. Cross your heart! Do it!”
“My adventure book!. You know him, Charles Muntz, the Explorer. When I get big, I’m going where he’s going. South America…. it’s like America… but South!”
“Wonder where I’m gonna live? Paradise Falls… a land lost in time. I ripped this right out of the library book!”
“I’m gonna bring my clubhouse there and park it right next to the falls. Who knows what lives up there!”
“I’m saving these pages for all the adventures I’m gonna do.”
Save for a few words, I guess I pretty much memorized almost all the dialogues in UP. My babies call the movie “Lolo” because of Carl’s character. We have been watching it night after night, week after week. It’s a good thing the DVD we bought is sturdy.
It’s amazing how the kids watch it enthralled as if they’re seeing it for the first time, every time.
I especially love these parts:
- When Ellie and Carl met. Even as a kid, Ellie’s got some gumption.
- The scene where Ellie and Carl renovated their house right after the wedding and how they put hand painted marks on their mailbox.
- Their dates up a hill watching the clouds. I would love to do that some time. Just pure relaxation and bliss.
- Ellie and Carl growing old together and dancing in their living room
- Russell saying it’s the boring moments that he remember the most
- When Carl finally browsed Ellie’s adventure book and saw all those photos of their moments together. It was so beautiful
It was weird though to see some mean scenes like when Carl hit the man on the head (I have to cover Iya’s eyes whenever that scene comes up, Jamaine already understands its bad) and when he imagined hoisting Russell down on the metal buildings so he can get rid of him.
But over all, it’s a nice movie. It makes you think about being enthusiastic about life no matter what your age and living your dreams while you still can.

believe it or not, i haven’t even seen it! i know, loser. hehe. i must buy the DVD. =)

If it weren’t for the kids, baka hindi ko rin siya napanood. I still haven’t watched Avatar. :S

it’s nice what you’ve done so far. it keeps the content interesting, so good job. sure, i’ll ask away if i do need help. right now actually, i’m thinking of changing my layout. or kahit colors lang, and then adding a header. that i need to learn. and what kind of theme should i look for if i want it wider? =)

If you’re looking for a new theme, try going to woothemes.com, they’ve got some pretty nice free themes that are easy to customize. Each theme has a control panel right within the Wordpress dashboard that allows you to upload a logo quite easily. bizzartic.com also has some nice themes.
Another theme similar to this one I’m using is Elements of SEO Wordpress theme. Simple lang siya but it has a rotating sub-header part where you can display your photos.
If you want more choices, go to weblogtoolscollection.com. It has a category na puro Wordpress theme releases. Magsasawa ka sa sobrang dami.
Halata bang addict sa themes? Hehe… But I think since I paid for this theme, I’ll be using it forever. Will just change the color schemes and header once in a while.
