I was walking to my cubicle when I felt something slippery in my left shoe. I took off my flat, shook my foot and this little thing landed on the floor…

The green frog was smiling at me. I sat still for a few moments just looking at it.
I’m not sure how that sticker got into my shoe. I must have stepped on it in the playroom and was too preoccupied to notice it until then.
My mind has been on a rollercoaster for the past days. But it’s the good kind. My brain is brimming with all sorts of ideas, dreams and visions. Sometimes I do tend to space out and get lost in thinking rather than doing. Like right now, I’ve paused so many times while writing this blog post because hundreds of ideas are popping into my head.
But whenever I find myself getting lost, I say one word: FOCUS. And sometimes, I get little reminders to stop the whirlwind in my mind and just be still.
Just like this little stray sticker.

Cute little frog. I agree. There are simple events that make me stop and think even in the middle of a stressful day – just like when I was going through my bag and found my keychain and it reminded me that it was from my mom. Simple things like that bring smile to my face.

Hey Kayni! Those moments of stillness really do wonders, we see more meaning in things we usually ignore or take for granted.
For when the stressful times come, it would also be nice to bring “happy stuff” with you, like a family photo, a smiley stress ball or a bar of your fave chocolate.
I always bring a mini-journal and a favorite book so I can focus on something good and I can steer my mind away from stress.
