The corner office

December 24, 2010 in Miscellany

Yup, I now have a corner office. No, I wasn’t promoted but there will be changes with the way I work. I literally have a corner office because it’s placed in the corner of our bedroom. ;)

I figured if I wanted to work from home, I need to have a decent place to actually do some work. I used to work while sitting on the bed but that didn’t always go well because I end up lying down instead. I also tried working in the dining area which is okay but I needed to dismantle my stuff everytime I’m done.

Now that I have my own workspace, I actually accomplish a lot more. I have a really comfy swivel chair and a spacious table. The shelves at the side are still a little bare but we’ll have some mini-organizer boxes there to store our chargers, vga cable with audio, and earphones so they will all be within reach. Plus, I can just leave my laptop there ready to work when I need to.

Of course, the family photo has to be there. It’s a constant reminder for me about what and who I am working for.

I’ll be working from home starting next year. I’m excited and just a little bit anxious. It’s gonna be a huge test for my time management skills. But the most important thing is, I can now devote most of my time to taking care of my girls and being a full – time mother.

2011 is gonna be an awesome year. The magic will begin in this office. I just know it. ;)

Happy Christmas everyone!

Hey Rach! Not yet leaving work. Just shifting my status from a regular employee to talent so I can have more flexible work hours and I can work from home. Yep, it’s like a dream come true, only in a different way.

Thank you so much and happy holidays! :)
