I was cleaning out the closet last night and saw a familiar looking can peeking beneath the pile of paper bags.
I reached for the can and opened it.
The contents seemed to beckon to me.
“Come on, take me.”
I looked away.
“You know you want to.”
Yeah, a part of me wanted to.
My exercise regimen has come to a halt and my diet has not really been that strict. Though my jeans continue to fit, I haven’t lost as much weight as I wanted to. At least, not yet.
I could surely use a little help in the appetite suppressing area.
The can held the answers to my problem.
“Remember how I made you look so thin? Don’t you want to look like that again?”
I clutched the can in my hand, went down the stairs and into the kitchen.
I opened the cover and threw the diet pills into the waste bin.
Yeah, I threw them away.
I want to lose weight and be slim again but, this time, I’m going to do it the healthy and the right way.
