Beautiful sunrise

My November was off to an awesome start and I just know this is going to be a great month.
Last Sunday morning, I went to the Victory Christian Fellowship Service in UP. I have to admit, it felt tempting to stay in bed since weekends are the only days I get to sleep in. [...]

Homeless but grateful

We are “temporarily homeless” as our Pasig home is still flooded until now. Our neighbors say it may take more than a month for the waters to completely subside since our area is on the same plane as the Pasig River.

I never thought it could happen to us but it was an eye-opening experience for me.

Thanks.
I need a lot of that today.
This is one of those days when staying positive becomes a wee bit challenging.
I try to refrain from being too personal on this blog. I have another online journal just for that.
But this time, I just need to release.
I’ve been trying to keep things positive in my other blog, [...]

One day I was cleaning out my Yahoo mail, when I found this gem of a story in my Inbox.
I was about to click it away to the Trash folder but somehow the title seemed to speak out to me.
GOD LISTENS.
It’s amazing how things can arrive in your life in just the perfect timing.
Whenever you [...]

… and allow the blessings to enter.
Lately, I’ve been opening a lot of doors and allowing the opportunities and blessings to flow into my life.
Sometimes I still feel like I should be doing something else or I should be somewhere else.
But right now I’m choosing to make the most of whatever I have and wherever [...]

Heart flowers

Have you ever wondered how powerful the mind – heart connection can be?
Sometimes, it amazes me how things just fall into place just when you need it. Oftentimes, when you’re at your wit’s end trying to figure out what to do next, something happens that assures you everything’s going to be alright.

The other night, [...]

Sing like no one’s listening… dance like nobody’s watching…

Jayme and Kuya

That’s me and my older brother during a party at my grandmother’s house some ____ years ago.
Remember how parents and relatives would mount impromptu talent shows during family gatherings? The kids would be asked to sing, dance, declaim and show whatever talent we had for the whole clan to see.
I never really knew if I [...]

That feeling again

I woke up with a queasy feeling in my belly. Kalia has been moving around a lot, I feel like she wants to go out now.

I look at the calendar by the TV stand, just two more weeks before my due date.

Two weeks can go by pretty fast, I tried to convince myself. Just wait a little bit more.

Right. The truth is, I’m getting that feeling again: the – can – I – give – birth – now kind of feeling.

More lessons from a cab driver

“Sa GMA lang po.” I told the driver as I went inside the cab.
As usual, a dozen thoughts were racing through my head as the we began the 5-minute ride to the office. That’s just how I am when I ride taxi cabs.
The sky looks pretty gloomy, I wonder if it’s gonna rain.
I hope Kernan [...]
