No, that’s not my stomach up there. Mine’s darker and got a lot of stretch marks but I’ve been doing this a lot lately. I am psyching myself up that I need to squish some flab out of my stomach and get me some fab abs. The trigger: a stolen shot Jamaine took of me while I was sitting down. Definitely flab, not fab.
So I dug out the fitness ebook I bought last year. It has quick workouts that are designed especially for moms who need to lose some post-baby weight. I followed the routines for a couple of weeks before and it worked quite well. I could see the faint outlines of my once non-existent abs and I didn’t have to suck in my stomach to keep it flat.
I’m going to do the workouts again this month so I can shape up before summer. Hopefully, I can muster up the highest level of discipline so I can keep doing the workouts until I’ve got the results to show for it. I’ll record my progress and post a review of the book with my results. And though I won’t be posting diet pill reviews here because I resolve not to use them, I will post reviews of health supplements that I will try in the process. There’s emphasis on health because if ever I do decide to take anything, I will make sure that it will do me good.
As for the dieting part, I’ve been slowly easing back into having salads instead of full meals. Chocolate is still somewhat of a challenge but the other junk foods I think I can give up completely.
Gosh, nothing like a flabby photo to jolt me into action. In the meantime, I’ll continue doing my squish, squish.
