Remember EO Optical’s big ad along Edsa where a tattoo artist, who happened to have poor eyesight, mistakenly inked “I love Rudy” instead of “I love Ruby?”

I thought it was a brilliant ad, albeit a little silly. I mean, no tattoo artist in his right mind would ink anyone if his vision was blurry right? Even if he had the best tattoo removal creams on hand, it wouldn’t be enough to compensate the customer for the hassle of a botched ink job.

Anyway, I was browsing through Youtube when I happened upon the TV version of that ad.

So that was how it ended. Apparently, the tattoo artist was creative enough to find a way to correct it. I don’t remember seeing this TV ad before, but I guess it brings the point across, with some kind of closure.

And now my vision is getting blurry which means I should probably get some sleep. Thank God it’s Friday!
