Sleeping sexy

Being six months pregnant has made me prone to random attacks of “un-sexiness.”

I’ve been exerting effort to dress well when I go out but when I arrive home, I usually feel too exhausted and lazy to put on something nice.

Mostly I just grab what’s on top of my clothes cabinet like a baggy pair of pajamas and an old t- shirt good for the rest of the night.

A few days ago, as I was fixing m y closet, I dug up an old pink chemise that my mom gave me when I got married. I think I wore it a couple of times before it got pushed to the back of the shelf by my baggier clothes.

Though it’s comforting how Kernan tells me I still look hot and desirable even when I’m wearing ratty house clothes, I imagine how much hotter I would be (and feel) if I wore some really nice lingerie. I know it’s only for the bedroom with one audience, but who says sleeping can’t be a fashionably sexy affair?

I tried to put on my old chemise but my very preggy belly got in the way so I guess I’ll have to stick to the baggy t-shirts for now.

Maybe after I give birth, I can head to the mall and shop for some seriously sexy lingerie. Wearing some hot stuff may help me battle the postpartum “un-sexy and un-pretty” blues (if ever they do attack again) even when I sleep. I wonder if it’ll make me look hot in my dreams too.
