Pre- Christmas diet notes

It’s Christmas eve and I’m enjoying some alone time today. The kids went shopping with their aunts and hubby is finishing some last minute work. I’m squeezing in some blogging and writing time before the Christmas frenzy begins.

I’m anticipating a big feast later so I’m starving, limiting myself to Herbalife shakes today. I’ve had one glass each for breakfast and lunch. I’m not feeling hungry at all which is good. At least, my tummy will be ready for battle later. ;)

Hopefully, I can burn all these Christmas calories with a Monday run. I’ve been eating some rice again which I think has caused me to get sluggish these past few days. Need to get the excess baggage out of my system. Besides, hubby and I need to gear up for our first race in January and I also want to get fit for my birthday in Feb.

Of course, wanting is different from doing. Let’s see how it goes. Getting up in the morning is quite hard these days what with the cold weather and cozy sheets. Most of the time, sleeping wins over running.

If all else fails… Well, I won’t fail, and I’m not giving in to any quick fix. Funny how my spam folder is getting filled with emails about Lipofuze and slimming pills. These spambots have great timing, don’t they?

I’m not making any resolutions about my weight this time. But I do have a goal which is to love my body more. No matter how many times I stray from the fitness trail, I’ll just keep coming back and I’ll keep running.

In the meantime, I’ll indulge and enjoy the holidays. ;)
