One step to trim your tummy

25 1/2.

Just 1 1/2 inches to go before I finally reach my goal waistline. (I just measure by the waist and not by the weight.)

There were a couple of key things that contributed to my trimmed tummy.

And I am not even talking about taking the best diet pills or adopting the latest fad crash diet.

It was more of a combination of exercise, right eating and the right attitude.

I know this sounds overwhelming if you feel like you’ve been stuck in a weight loss rut for a long time.

But here’s one step you can do easily and immediately: EAT BREAKFAST.

Yummy cereal

Sounds incredibly simple doesn’t it?

Truth is, breakfast was something I used to take for granted. I would always skip eating breakfast because I felt like that would help me to lose the weight.

But the real deal is, eating breakfast is what would help lose the weight.

How?

1. Eating breakfast fuels your body with energy after “fasting” the whole night. When you’ve got energy, you can move around more and engage in physical activities which can help you lose the weight.

2. Breakfast revs up your metabolism at the beginning of the day. And when you want to lose weight, that’s something you wanna do because the faster your metabolism runs, the more you’ll burn the fats.

3. After you eat a good breakfast, you’ll feel full enough so that your tendency is you’ll eat less as the day progresses. Remember the saying: “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.”

It would be great if you could have  a balanced breakfast with whole grains, some protein, veggies and fruits.

This is my favorite breakfast.

Scrambled eggs and bread

(Of course, the presentation is not as fine as this, but isn’t this lovely to look at and eat? ;) )

One scrambled egg and a slice of wheat bread keeps me full until lunch time.

What’s your favorite breakfast?
