
Hostgator has officially earned my loyalty.
I always look out for great customer service. And when I find a company I am happy with, I remain loyal to them for life.
Switching web hosts was definitely one of the best things I’ve done for my online venture. I was hesitant at first because I was scared of losing all my sites in case I bungled something.
But Hostgator’s customer service and support has been superb. I love that livechat support is available for 24 hours. It’s comforting to know that I can easily call for help from a live person in case I messed my site in the middle of the night.
(I remember accessing a site that used chat software with an automated customer service agent. I was asking specific questions only to get pre-programmed answers. Certainly not helpful when you want to get customers.)
The staff were also patient and helpful when I was asking questions about site and file transfers. And for a tech noob like me, patience would certainly come in handy. And though I couldn’t really see the other person chatting with me, it feels like she was giving service with a smile.
Other business owners could definitely take a cue from this example. If you want to get loyal customers, keep them happy and serve them well. Be reachable and overdeliver.
After all, getting a happy customer means more money in your cash register.
