The red little monsters are attacking a lot lately which only means one thing — I’m getting too stressed again.
I’ve been barely able to sleep for weeks now because my babies have been keeping me up well past 2am.
Glaring evidence of my sleeplessness greets me in the morning when I spot a red bump on my cheek and another on my chin.
I mentioned how I cured my acne before but in between my work and home schedule, I don’t always follow it to the letter. My skin-savers are spot treatment acne gels.
I used to switch through different acne products but Clearasil is my current favorite.
When the red bumps appear, I wipe my face with toner, spot treat the zit with the gel, then apply moisturizer.
About 98 percent of the time, the zit stays flat and disappears in a day or two without a mark which is why I like this gel a lot.
A word of caution though: the gel contains two percent salicylic acid so you have to apply it sparingly. Once when I over-applied, my skin dried up and peeled.
Since it comes in a tube, there’s also a tendency to oversquirt so it’s best to use a fresh cotton swab as an applicator.
I also noticed it works better and faster when I go make – up free while using it.
You can buy Clearasil online or from the local drugstore.
When I checked Amazon, they have a newer version of this product the Clearasil Ultra Pimple Blocker Pen which is cool because the pen tip makes application much easier and more economical.
What’s your zit buster?
