What are you passionate about?
I ask myself this question several times especially when I find myself lost in the mundane concerns of daily life. The answer always leads me back to my purpose and new ideas spring in my head on how to achieve it.
I am passionate about writing, it will always be an essential part of me. I love reading books about personal growth, inspiration, happiness and success because these are the things I aspire for in my life.
Last year, during one of my reflection moments, an idea hit me: to marry my two passions into a project that can help other people.
The first step for me was to start a blog on personal growth. Thus, the Passiotive blog was born. (Read the story behind the name.)
I’ve been wanting to launch my passion project for the longest time but I found myself in a mental and emotional block for months.
You know how you’ve always wanted to do something and yet you always find yourself “busy” so you just can’t get down to doing it? I’ve been hiding behind my “busy-ness” for almost half a year before I finally pushed myself to just go ahead with it.
I think the wonderful thing about a passion and a dream is that they will always be just inside you waiting to come true.
Well, I’ve finally organized the site and put some new posts up. I’ve already got a draft for future posts and I’m focused on updating the site regularly.
It’s still a bit “thin” but it’s up and running already. I consider it a significant progress to quash procrastination and to finally start doing what I want to do.
If you have ideas and suggestions for the site, I’d love to hear them too.
How about you, what’s your passion project?

I have started my photography project a week old already, so far it’s much easier than ‘writing’. When I first started blogging, I’ve been practicing to write, not easy for me, tho I’m still trying, I think nowadays I’d like to simplify my blogging habits, post more photos and less on writing – so photography is like a hobby I should say. Anybody can do that.
I’d wish I can write as good as you, and you’re good at it. Keep on writing (blogging).
K’s last blog post..I said I am coming back
Thanks K!
I’d say you’re gifted with “the eye” for good photographs and it works just as well (maybe even better) than words in conveying messages and emotions. It’s a pretty interesting hobby. Ako nga, I want to be good at photography too. Ang tao talaga, we always want what we don’t have. Hehe…
wow jayme, this is something
