One of the things, I want to do during this holiday break is finish reading another book. I’ve finished reading Stephen King’s “On Writing Well,” which I consider an accomplishment. I’ve been trying to get back into the reading habit and I must say I’m doing a pretty good job at it.
I know I used to say I don’t have time to read, but I realized I could have the time if I just went offline more often.
Anyway, this holiday’s reading list is a bit light, I have:
1. Telling True Stories, edited by Mark Kramer and Wendy Call
2. On Writing Well, William Zinsser
3. Finding Your Own North Star, Martha Beck
That’s two books on writing and one on self help. I’ve been working on improving my writing skills again and those two books on my list are among the most recommended books for non – fiction writers.
Part of the work is actually writing too, that’s why I’m trying to blog more often. These are far from masterpieces but it helps me to practice getting over writer’s block and just get the words flowing on to the page.
Sometimes I still get stumped by difficult topics. (Business debt consolidation, anyone?) But soon enough, with more reading and more practice, I hope I can write about anything with ease and speed.
What’s on your holiday reading list? Happy reading and happy holidays!

Yup, really good. I’m trying to finish a chapter a day and so far, okay naman. Basahin mo rin yung “On Writing” ni Stephen King, finished reading it last week and I got so many nuggets of writing wisdom.
