Missing you…

Jayme and Kernan

Kernan left for China last Friday for a special project and he won’t be back until Tuesday. I’ve been missing him a whole lot and wish I could pull the days faster.

Since roaming charges can pack a ton, we just communicate through text which makes me miss him even more.

The last time we were away from each other was when he went to Vietnam last year. Since I was quite busy with work and wedding preparations then, my attention was quite divided.

But since I’ve switched jobs (story in another post) and I have no major events upcoming, I have weekends all to myself and it makes me feel his absence more.

We’ve been staying at my mom’s house since Friday and we’ll probably stay here until Kernan arrives two days from now. Just two more sleepless nights.

I’m really terrible at missing people especially when it comes to my hubby and that explains why I will never agree to any of us working abroad for long periods of time. I’m setting a five-day maximum limit and that’s about it. Better if it’s less, a definite no-no if it’s more.

What comforts me now is looking through a whole folder of our pictures in my laptop. The picture above is one of our favorites from the pre-nup pictorial we had last November.

It doesn’t help that mushy love songs are messing with my head.

“I miss you like crazy…”

“When I turn out all the lights, even the night…it only reminds of you.”

Come home soon, Mahal.

I remember when Robert went home last February because we need to wait for the new visa. It was complete torture. Di ako makatulog sa gabi tpos di naman ako mapakali sa umaga.

Sobrang hirap talaga!

Thank God he’s here :)

You’re not the first wives out there who felt the same, I suspect. But I think it’s healthy when you spend time away from each other, occasionally because it allows you to be who you are as individuals. right?

I don’t know you personally, but I’m an immigrant so this story is familiar to me, though on another level. Hang in there!

Rach: I know what you mean. Lonely and sleepless…what a combination.

K: You’re right. Actually, we do enjoy time away from each other. But when he goes out of the country, it’s another story because it means he just can’t go home right away when I miss him or when he misses me.

J: Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Joan Ray: I really admire those who can keep a long distance relationship. Hats off to you and your hubby for accomplishing such a feat.

Ate Kengks: Haha… :D Actually, same office building kami ni hubby kaya di ko naman siya masyado miss pag weekdays.
