Learning how to make money online

August 9, 2009 in Money

In my previous post, I mentioned about drafting a plan for my online business as one of my baby steps to financial security.

I’ve been reading a couple of books about making money online and I’m soaking up everything I can.

I’ve also started implementing some of the things I learned about setting up virtual real estate but I’ve yet to see money rolling in.

Of course, making money online is much like any serious offline business: you’ve got to invest some time and effort first before you start seeing profit.

If someone promises you an online business that will make you thousands overnight, look out for the nearest exit signs and bolt out at lightning speed.

I’ve been fortunate enough to learn how to distinguish the get rich quick schemes that are built to suck out all your money for nothing.

So I’m sticking with the slower route which I expect to be genuinely profitable in the long run.

I’ve also been lucky to get a lot of blog assignments lately.

With a little more effort and a whole lot of restraint, I will hit the $100 earnings mark in a few weeks.

See I almost hit the $500 earnings mark last year but I went on an “online shopping spree” and lost most of my Paypal money.

So now I committed to myself that I will restrict my spending to those that are absolutely necessary for my online business.

And I’ve been doing a good job at that lately because all my blogs are now self-sustaining and everything I spend for my sites like domain fees and web hosting come straight out of my Paypal balance.

For now I’ll continue to study and implement the cash-generating lessons I’m learning.

I know the late nights I’ve been spending on blogging and setting up sites will pay off big in due time.

When I start seeing more money rolling in, I will share the methods that worked here.

Two things you need to remember on this blessed Sunday:

Life is beautiful.

God is absolutely good!
