I’m indulging in my favorite pastime of traveling online. And this time, my fingers have taken me to Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
This looks like a fun place to take our girls to since both of them love the water and fishes too. The aquarium spans 85,000 square feet — that’s definitely a lot of exploring to do.
I’m sure they’d love to see the sea horses, turtles and colorful fishes. I’m not sure if they’d be as thrilled to see the sharks.
As for me, I just want to see Dory, the regal blue tang. The way she sang “Just keep swimming…” in “Finding in Nemo” is stuck in my head to remind me to be persistent. But that’s another story.
What’s so cool about this park is they have overnight camps so you can sleep with the sharks or observe how the marine animals go through the night. That would be interesting.
Myrtle Beach looks like a fun family getaway with all the other water parks in it. Might take a more than half a week to explore everything. In these parts, it seems getting a condo rental is the common type of accommodation. I checked out some Myrtle Beach condo rentals and they look homey.
Anyway, this gives me an idea for a family fun trip list. I’m sure the girls would love traveling and exploring as much as Kernan and I do.

So far, I’ve been able to practice writing more. I’m starting to feel the writing blocks slowly crumbling away. As Dory would say, I’m just gonna “keep swimming” and “keep writing.”
