I can’t get enough of…

Pens.

Of course, it goes hand in hand with my addiction for notebooks

Pens are absolute mainstays in my bag.

You know that “incomplete” feeling when you forgot to bring something you think you can’t do without?

That’s how I feel when I forget to bring a pen.

That’s why I used to collect all sorts of sign pens, colored pens, promotional pens even those expensive metal pens just to make sure I never run out. See I also have a tendency of losing my pens way before I consume the ink.

I wasn’t really picky about my pens before, until my recent Moleskine fascination.

Of course, I wanted my writing tool to be just as special.

I searched for the best pens to use with a Moleskine notebook and found one that is affordable yet fits the bill pretty well: the Pilot G2.

The ball point is pretty fine which I really like and the ink does not bleed through the pages.

I also checked my entries 5 months ago and the ink still looks pretty fresh if you know what I mean.

The absolute best part: I actually manage to keep this pen long enough to consume the ink up to the last drop.

I still have a couple of pens in my case but I only use them for those rare times when I want to get fancy with my journal pages.

I think I’ll stick with this pen for a long time. Unless I find a pink alternative, of course. ;)

What’s your favorite pen?

i have to tell you this, you can get the pilot g-2 in pink! it’s only a 0.7 but this idea might work! when your 0.5 is empty pull the nib end off and swap it with the one on the 0.7 pink refill! wahay a o.5 bright pink pilot g-2. i have not tried this before as i thought it up right now but i am now going to try it with my purple g-2!

Hi! I love your post about pens. I am a pen-lover as well. And I also use that same pen. I totally agree with you.

I love gel pens — particularly the Pilot G-2s and the UniBall Signo line.

Here’s a list of the pens I’ve tried in my Moleskine notebook: http://sandscribbler.wordpress.com/2006/02/08/finding-the-right-pen-for-my-moleskine/

The more I look for people blogging about notebooks, the more I find people blogging about pens. This could become my new obsession!
