“Mommy… Christmas lights!”
Whenever we go out at night, Jamaine and Kalia would often zoom in on Christmas lights and point them out to me. They’re quite excited to see them because we haven’t put up any Christmas decor in our home and we’re not planning to put up a tree. We’re a little concerned about those little hands tinkering with lights and Christmas balls so I guess we’ll have to put it off for another year.
But Kernan and I did come up with another idea to have some Christmas cheer in our house: big red Christmas stockings. I wonder where I can find a jumbo Christmas stocking like this?

We’ve already bought the kids’ Christmas gifts the last time Toy Kingdom had their big sale and we hid the toys in the cabinet. We’re planning to place one toy in their socks everyday leading to Christmas starting on the 21st… like 4 days of Christmas. I’m thinking of getting smaller toys so we can make it 12 days, but I have to really explain to them that it’s just because it’s Christmas or they might think it will happen every month.
Actually, we buy them toys as pasalubong on a regular basis but only those affordable ones. The toys that cost “big money” are reserved for special occasions and birthdays. I’m almost tempted to give them the toys in advance because it’s always a treat to see them delighted over new toys, but that will have to wait.
Thankfully, only a few weeks to go. Can you believe it’s December next week already? Happy days ahead.
