Blog theme and gym therapy

I just indulged myself in blog theme therapy which explains my home’s new look.

Let’s just say it’s one of the ways I’m dealing with my misplaced vanity and these rollercoaster moods I’ve been having lately.

Thanks to Atomicgirl, Ris, Dru and Joan whose heartfelt comments helped me to put things in perspective.

I went to the gym again this morning and I’m pretty proud of myself. I completed 8 rounds of boxing, 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer, and another 20 minutes for ab exercises and stretching.

I checked the scale and I found out that my weight has dropped from 125 to 121 pounds in the past weeks. I have to wait and see if I can go back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 110 by December.

One of the boxing trainers, Richard, “reprimanded” me awhile ago for being absent for a couple of days. I admitted, I felt a bit lazy.

Nasa utak lang yang tamad-tamad. Kakayanin mong hindi pumalya kung yun ang iisipin mo. (Laziness is all in the mind. You can be consistent with your workouts if you put your mind to it.)

Meanwhile, Kernan has been reassuring me that I’m slowly getting back into shape and no matter what, I’ll always be his sexy wife.

It’s a good thing when I’m down, God sends an abundance of supportive people.

I’m feeling better everyday and even more motivated to keep my workouts consistent.

I know there’s no use moping around the house and struggling with the tape measure.

I’ll just take it one day at a time. I know my efforts will pay off soon.

Hi Jayme!
You seem to be doing a great job losing weight. When did you give birth? I gave birth in July 2006, been trying to shed off some pounds that have piled on since 1997 when i had my first baby. It’s been hard work, but the payoff is beyond wonderful. I’m sure you know that by now. ;)
Btw, where do you do boxing? One of my gym buddies is getting bored and want to try it. I might too, in the future.

Hi Chateau! I gave birth last April. Tried Bikram Yoga last month then shifted to gym and boxing. It must be more challenging to shed weight after 2 babies. Did you try any other workout other than the gym? I box at Mojo Gym in Panay Ave. I enrolled there years ago pa, ngayon lang uli ako bumalik. :)

@ Joan: Salamat sis! :) Sana tuluy-tuloy na.

@ Chat: May nag-offer sakin once to go there, pero hiyang na ko sa Mojo kasi kilala ko na mga tao dun. Not to mention the low gym fee (May promo ngayon kaya P2,200 lang ang gym and boxing combo.) Okay lang kahit late ka nag-start, ang importante, you’re on your way na to accomplishing your weight goal. :D
