Blast from the past: my first trip abroad

Jayme's first trip to HKI was cleaning some old files in my laptop when I came across this photo.

This photo was taken near Victoria Peak in Hongkong. It was a couple of years ago when I was a segment producer for Lovely Day.

I remember getting all excited about this trip, from the mundane task of applying for a passport and arranging for travel health insurance down to the more exciting planning for the shooting itinerary and setting aside a free schedule for some midnight shopping.

I only had a film camera then so I wasn’t able to take a lot of shots but I did try to chronicle everything in an old blog.

I relived the experience for days and thought about traveling again someday soon.

My dream destinations are:

  1. Italy
  2. France
  3. Palau
  4. Hawaii

Wish a genie would appear and give me an all-expense paid trip for four to any of these destinations. :)

If you were given a chance to travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

To go back to Australia again, this time, in Cairns, Queensland - island beach resort. But I’m not going there because that’s a tourist destination, I want to go there soonest to be with my “mahal.” Can’t wait for us to be truly together, and settle in Cairns, or anywhere in this world!:P

Ris: Aahhh…. Amanpulo must be wonderful. :D

Lynds: I’m so happy for you and Robin. :) Konting tiis na lang, I’m sure you’ll be together again soon. I can only imagine how challenging a long distance relationship is, but I’m sure you’ve got much strength in you to cope with it.

I guess wherever we are can be paradise as long as we are with the ones we love. :)

A segment producer for a TV show? Wow!

That’s from the Peak, I noticed. I am not a ‘traveller’ per se but I’d love to go to London (to visit the Queen hehehe). If I can manage a month holiday, I love to visit the other parts of Pinas (Visayans) not only in Bicol.

i would love to go back to Pinas - kahit saan dun :D france is a two hour drive from us, while italy would be around 5 — been to both those places and maganda talaga kasi nga you would see old europe. my husband’s dream destination is hawaii pero dahil wala sya balak tumapak sa US, mukhang it would remain a dream, hehe!
