It doesn’t matter what your present circumstances are, your attitude toward the situation is the most important thing.
I always try to remember this whenever I’m faced with a difficult situation.
I remember reading this story in the Power of Positive Thinking about one golf player who tended to lose his temper whenever he missed a shot. He actually became popular because of his raging fits that people have come to expect it every time he steps on the grass. As a result, he tended to live up to everyone’s expectation and always ended a bad game breaking golf clubs.
It was easier, of course, to blame things and other people for his situation.
But later on, he realized a very important thing and he made a sudden shift in his thinking. He became calm, cool and collected. And he found out he was capable of playing better after all.
What did he realize?
It didn’t matter if he was using Titleist golf irons or if he was wearing a spanking Nike ensemble. They were just accessories to play the game.
It didn’t matter what other people said or expected him to do. They were not the ones holding the club.
All that mattered was his attitude toward the game.
He realized that although he cannot control the circumstances around him, he can control how he responds to them. And it spelled all the difference.
Whenever you are faced with a difficult situation, don’t glance around looking for something or someone to blame.
Take control of your situation and put your attitude in check.
More often than not, the solution to your problems is closer than you think.

that is very inspiring but it is also a plus if everyone around you sees the same
everything that is happening to you is a decision you made so face the consequences that comes along with it, good or bad, it’s your decision. Just be happy that you still have the privilege to decide because others cannot.
Joanjoyce: It’s really important to take responsibility for your decisions because when you accept that you cause what happens to you, you can then have the ability to deal with it.
We cannot always control the situations that happened. However, we can always control our reaction toward the situations. I remembered a quotation by Anthony Robins that goes something like this, “It is not what happened but how we reacted to what happened that really matters.“
