Note to self: go out more with friends
“Kailan tayo huling lumabas?” A asked me.
“December?” I said. I remember it was for brunch in Tagaytay a day after my wedding.
Only a month has passed but I feel like it’s been ages since I last went out with my friends. It’s ironic how A and I work in the same company, same floor and same office but we hardly see or spend time with each other because our schedules are quite difficult to match.
The other day, I finally decided it was time to break my home-office-home routine and asked A to go with me to Cubao Expo.
I’ve been wanting to go back to this place especially since I’ve been receiving Multiply updates from Sandy about her newly renovated Reading Room.
I know I said I’ll stay away from there in an effort to rehabilitate from my notebook addiction. But knowing my rebellious self, I went there anyway.
I didn’t buy new notebooks though so I think congratulations are in order.
I did buy a new Luminare blush and lipcolor. A had a grander time shopping for cute tees that were a steal at around 300 bucks a piece.
I also visited the new Ooohwables shop, another Multiply contact that recently launched her own boutique. Her collection was not yet complete since they are still days away from their grand opening. But A and I walked away from there with two great finds: a rose-colored button up blouse for her and a cute kimono dress for me.
Carli caught up with us at Cubao Expo, Dex followed us at Gateway and we all capped the night with dinner at Max’s.
It was great to just hang out and talk about our families, love lives and random stuff.
I realized I actually missed them.
It also made me feel like I have a social life again outside of the rubber playing mat.
I really should go out more often.
