Blogging for some happy money
Every payday, I segregate money for bills, for savings and for something I like to call my “happy money.”
My happy money pays for my kikay “necessities,” recent addictions and simple luxuries that make me happy. My hubby fully understands my need for some “happy money” because I consider it my reward for working hard.
Recently though, we’ve been making some computations. With Jamaine’s growing needs and Kalia on the way, my “happy money” is on the brink of extinction.
Luckily though, my net surfing has brought to my attention a potential solution: blog advertising.
I joined Smorty, a service that connects advertisers with bloggers and pays you for writing opinion posts. Registering was very easy and my blog got approved less than 24 hours after I submitted it. Just having a blog doesn’t always guarantee approval though, so make sure to read the blogger rules and faqs first.
The blogger admin panel was user-friendly and easy to navigate. You can readily see the available opportunities upon logging in.
Posts can earn a minimum of 6 dollars but you can earn as much as a hundred when you reach a good standing. Payment is made weekly via Paypal which is great because you don’t have to wait for earnings to accumulate to a certain amount before you get paid.
Joining the paid blogging bandwagon
I know some readers get turned off by sponsored content and frown at blog advertising. But I’ve read some blogs that do a great job of incorporating sponsor links into their entries and I think it doesn’t affect their blog’s integrity in any way.
What’s great about blogging for money is you still get to be creative in writing the content. You don’t have to endorse the service and you’re free to post your opinion.
And the best thing is, you get paid for it!
I’ve read some stories of bloggers who paid bills, funded dream vacations and bought personal luxuries using the money they earned from paid blogging. So I guess, if you’re really diligent and creative in handling writing opportunities, the rewards can definitely add to something.
Who knows, my happy money may grow into a sizeable amount and I can finally buy number one on my wishlist or more MMU.
If you have any tips about problogging, I’d love to hear them too.
