Two rainbow songs for a happy baby

Posted September 28th, 2007 by Jayme

When my mom used to stay over during Jamaine’s early weeks, she always sang two songs to put Jamaine to sleep: “Rainbow Connection” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Recently, Jamaine’s trusty yaya took a day off and I had to ask Mama to come over to take care of Jamaine while I go to work. [...]

My new sleeping partner

Posted September 24th, 2007 by Jayme

Remembering Ace

Posted September 10th, 2007 by Jayme

That’s how I remember Ace.
That’s how, I’ll always remember him.

Being fat and having a healthy addiction

Posted September 4th, 2007 by Jayme

After five months of being in denial, I finally face the fact that I’m fat.
A lot of people have been telling me to cut myself some slack and remember I’ve just given birth five months ago.
But whenever I look at myself in the mirror, the sides of my face bulging, the button of my favorite [...]
